Margin of Error (2014)

Compiling large projects with GCC takes a long time in Windows. To avoid the frustrating "compile-fix-compile-fix" coding cycle, and to make code warnings a little more visible, I made a simple Atmel Studio extension to place small error and warning icons into the code margins next to relevant lines. The icons will track (as best as possible) their lines as the file is modified, allowing you to fix multiple errors at once without having to recompile repeatedly after each individual fix to find the new line position of old errors.

Hovering over an icon in the margin will display the relevant compiler error/warning message text.
